As individuals mature, they come to accept who they are and detain by it in a positive way. This is seen in the character Todd Anderson who all over the course of the film, comes to learn ab surface himself in ways that he never thought he would. At first, Todd is being control by fear and is un subject to let go and live his life freely because of the weight of expectation that has been placed upon him by his family. He is unable to properly absorb himself in enlighten because of his fear of failure which overpowers him. In the scene where Mr Keating sets the class a poetry assignment he comments to Todd upon leaving the room Mr Anderson, have ont think I dont go to bed that this assignment scares the hell out of you. His pain is no protracted invisible and it is then that Todd becomes aware of those that are responding to him in his world.
The of import turning point in Todds growth as a character is in the scene where he is to present his poem to the class. We see a nervous Todd who is barely sounding as he admits that he has not written a poem.
All he needed was a confidence bring up from Mr Keating to help him make a poem and let out all the emotions that have been bottled up inside of him. Mr Keating is the catalyst for Todds growth Dont you forget this! He oblige Todd out of his comfort zone and showed him that people will cerebrate him and acknowledge his thoughts.
Todds transformation is highlighted most significantly at the end of the film. He is seated at his desk not able to respond to Mr Nolans question when Mr Keating enters the room. We see a unbendable sense that Todd lacks to speak and he uses all his now set confidence to do so.
