Eng consume and Portugal two suffered from religious residuums, urbane wars, and the risk of becoming overpopulated as the years went on which led to the need of settling in the New gentleman. Both countries call for late land in order to continue prospering which is why many explorers, both English and Lusitanian, were sent to scope out North America.
The difference between England and Portugal scotchally was that while the latter was still prospering, the designer had fallen into a crisis of not being able to punt all of the residents in the country. Englands main source of income was from agriculture, however as the community continued to grow, the amount of land gettable for farming and livestock was quickly dwindling. The number of homeless peck rapidly increased to the point where most of Englands population was either without a home, a job, or food (a parcel out of the time, people were missing all three items). Portugal, on the otherwise hand, was very powerful and controlled most of the trade in Europe. Because the Portuguese had such a small population, things such as land and jobs were not a worry for them and they successfully climbed to the top of the economic ladder for over 5 centuries.
Politically, England and Portugal were both governed very stringently which caused quite a lot of chaos for the residents.



Most of the civil wars in England were due to religious intolerance and the lack of emancipation the people had over their choices. While Portugal suffered less severely, both countries searched for new opportunities that would lead to more freedom and self-governing.
England was influenced socially because they looked to the New World as a place for freedom as wellspring as a place to start over again. They needed a new location that provided jobs, land, and the chance to start a new government that was less corrupt and more unclouded to what the people needed/ commanded.
