I happened to bump
into one brilliant scholar at the Technical Institute of Hamburger
University called Isaah. In his narration of how he managed to
qualify for his engineering course at the institution, I was made to
understand that he came from a humble background and that none of his
parents had ever set foot on town rather they are peasants in the
mountainous village of Kandahar, Eastern Afghanistan.
I felt sorry
for him for quite some time then it occurred to me that there are
several brilliant students of his caliber who equally excel from deep
within the village to become the best scholars in the world.
This particular
story left me dumbfounded on learning that intelligence is not wholly
pegged on one’s social and economic background but it is an
inherent talent peculiar to an individual exhibiting it. If special
attention is not paid to the identification and subsequent tapping of
talents of this sort then it would not be possible to make good on
them. Indeed educationist must treat this crucial exercise of talent

All

brilliant students out there remote regions of the world and that
most of those brains go to waste due to lack of proper educational
