The Great Gatsby Chapter One:

Summary:
A cosmos named Nick Carraway has been alone for as long as he can remember. During summer, he drives to East Egg to have dinner party with his cousin, Daisy Buchannan, and her husband Tom Buchannan. When he arrives, there is another muliebrity that will be accompanying them that goes by the name of Jordan Baker. She seemed really familiar to him, he soon remembers her face from professional feature pictures. At dinner, Nick learns that Tom has a woman on the side and he in any case learns that Daisy is not happy with her animation at all. When Nick is leaving, Tom and Daisy propose an idea that Jordan and he should begin dating.

Character:
Jordan Baker
Jordans going to play in the tournament tomorrow, explained Daisy, over at Westchester.
This quote resembles Jordan well because it is masking us that she is loyal. She is going to bed at 10 o clock so that she is fully rested up from her play game tournament in the morning.

Qualities:
Good: she is loyal to her sport
Bad: she is selfish. For face Daisy and she were talking on the couch and she acted as if she wasnt interested in what she was saying.





Characters role in the story:
Jordan is Daisys friend, a woman with whom Nick becomes romantically involved during the course of the novel. A competitive golfer, Jordan represents one of the new women of the 1920sâ€"cynical, boyish, and self-centered. Jordan is beautiful, but also dishonest: she cheated in order to win her first golf tournament and continually bends the truth.
