Jonas lives in a perfect world. Its basically a utopian society. Life is safe, orderly, and predictable. There is no weather, no animals or nature, no colors or music. All of the rules are purely adhered to and every detail of a persons smell is carefully planned out. People seldom make choices on their own because everything is decided for them by the community. Although, when Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to lift up special training from The presenter.
