He was a pioneer of the industrial Revolution and undoubtedly one of the greatest railway locomotiveers to have ceaselessly lived. Trevithick spent his youth at Illogan in the tin-mining zone of Cornwall and be the village school. The schoolmaster described him as disobedient, re luctant and obstinate.
