Brief Introduction / Short Biography
* Born November 7, 1927 in Kyoto, Japan
* His pay off abandoned his family when he was 5, hence was left in the supervise of his grandparents.
* In 1945 Hiroshi went to Waseda University to study law
* In 1949, Yamauchis grandfather suffered a disaster and handed the alliance to the young Hiroshi Yamauchi
* Became third death chair of the companionship at 21 years old
* Yamauchi married Michiko Inaba and they had three children, Yoko, Fujiko and Katsuhito.
* The companys sole business was manufacturing toy cards, however, Yamauchi decided to research beyond this and expand his business.
* Tried other businesses such as Taxi Company, love hotel where rooms would be rented by the hour, blink of an eye rice but none of these ventures were very successful.
* Decided to focus on on toy-manufacturing, and his company flourished!
* He contributed a lot to the video-gaming industry. storied works such as Donkey Kong, GameCube and Super Mario Bros were created at his time.
* On May 31 2002, Yamauchi stepped down as president of Nintendo and handed the company to Satoru Iwata.
* Retired from the company on 29 June 2005 collectible to old age
